AI Connector

An AI connector links an assistant like Claude or ChatGPT to another app, so it can read that app's data and answer questions about it.

What is an AI connector?

An AI connector is a link between an AI assistant and another app. In Claude it lives under Settings → Connectors. ChatGPT has its own connectors and apps. Many connectors are built on MCP, the open standard for this.

An AI money connector links your assistant to a budgeting or finance app, so it can answer questions from your real numbers.

Key takeaways

  • A connector lets an assistant read data from an app you already use.
  • You approve the connection by signing in to that app.
  • For money, choose connectors that are read-only and easy to disconnect.

How it works

You add the connector, sign in to the app, and approve what the assistant can see. For Fifecta, the steps are on the Fifecta for Claude page.

Why it matters for your Money Type

A Scrambler lives in crisis mode because there's no order to payday. Asking "What bills are due before my next paycheck?" in the assistant you already use can give you that order without opening five apps.

Common questions

Can a connector move my money?

Only if it was built with tools that can. Fifecta's connector is read-only and cannot move money or change your plan.

How do I remove a connector?

Remove it in your assistant's settings, and also revoke it in the app. In Fifecta, that's Settings → Your data → Connected apps.

Your next step

Same numbers, different next move

Knowing the word is step one. Two people can read the same definition and need totally different first moves. Your Money Type tells you yours.
